Jan Johannes De Jager

Passed away peacefully at Villa De Rose Retirement Home, Welland, on Monday, January 31, 2022, in his 90th year. Now reunited with his adored wife, Wilma (2014). Loving father of Dick (Karla) of Smithville, Irene Draaistra (Hans) of Beamsville, Theresa Aanen (Pieter) of St. Catha-rines and Andre (Julie) of Welland. Proud and cherished grandfather of 13 grand-children and 12 great-grand-children; predeceased by 1 grandchild and 2 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Jitty Gijsen (the late Geert), Annie Hoogenberg (the late Jan), and Joke Geertsma (Hans) all of Holland. Jan will be sadly missed by his in-laws, many nieces, nephews and extended family in Canada and Holland. Special thanks to Dr. Donaghy for his care and compassion. Visitation will be held at Providence Christian Reformed Church, 4845 King St. E, Beamsville, on Friday, February 4, 2022, from 6-8 p.m. where a Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, February 5, 2022, at 11 a.m. Private family interment will be held at Vineland Cemetery prior to the service.
