Janos "John" GABOR

GABOR, Janos 'John' It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of John Friday, January 11, 2019 in his 83rd year. Beloved husband and best friend to Francis for 46 years. Cherished father to Heather Gabor, Cathy Gabor (Nathan), Nancy (Justin) Gauthier and Jenni Gabor. Special Papa to Payton, Carson, Taylor, Jessica and Kella. John was a proud and devoted volunteer firefighter with over 25 years' service with the Willoughby fire department. Outside of the fire department he most often could be found on his tractor or bailing hay. John began his career as a butcher in Hungary and that allowed him to find a start here in Canada. He raised his family on the farm on Sodom Rd. John's family will receive the comfort of friends at PLEASANTVIEW FUNERAL HOME (2000 Merrittville Hwy at the corner of Hwy #20) 905-892-1699 on Tuesday, January 15th from 6-8 p.m. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, January 16th from 12 noon - 2:00 p.m. followed by a service to celebrate his life in the funeral home chapel at 2:30 p.m. Donations to Project Share in John's memory will be appreciated by his family.
