Jeffrey KADWELL Obituary

October 6, 1954 - November 17, 2021
It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Jeff Kadwell on November 17, 2021 at the age of 67, at the St. Catharines General Hospital. He is survived by his wife and best friend Lilly. He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Erin and grandsons Connor, Emmett and Ethan, who were the love and joy of his life. Predeceased by his daughter Jennifer (2012). Beloved son of Erna and the late Robert (2014). Brother to Dave (Terry), Scott (Jane) and sister Nancy (Harry). He will be missed by his nieces and nephews, sisters and brothers in law. Jeff retired from Stelco where he worked as an oiler in cold mill mechanical. Upon retirement, his home away from home, was spent on the golf course perfecting his game or spending time in an arena watching Connor play hockey. His cheerfulness will be missed on the golf course, at Teddy's on Friday or enjoying chicken wings with friends. A special thank you to the nurses and staff on 2A at the St. Catharines General. As an avid golfer, it is only fitting that his Celebration of Life will be taking place at Rockway Vineyards Golf Course, 3290 Ninth Street, St. Catharines, on Saturday, November 27, 2021 from 12:00 pm until 4:30 pm. Please note that proof of full vaccination is required to enter. Masks are mandatory. In Jeff's memory, the family would appreciate donations to the Jennifer Houwer (Kadwell) and Holly Pietowski (Macdonald) Memorial Award which was established in the memory of Jeff's daughter. This scholarship is given out in perpetuity each year to a pharmacy student at the University of Toronto; or to a charity of your choice. Arrangements entrusted to STONEHOUSE-WHITCOMB FUNERAL HOME, Grimsby, 905-945-2755. www.smithsfh.com

I was so sorry to hear about the loss of Jeff. I knew him for quite a few years of knowing Erin. He was always there to support Connor and was his biggest cheerleader. My prayers go out to the family while they grieve this huge loss.

Our deepest sympathy and prayers go out to the entire Kadwell family for the loss of a great man and friend. I was fortunate enough to have great times and matches on the golf course with Jeff and Scott. I remember throwing stones at one of his clubs that just happened to "slip" out of his hands and end up in a tree. Also some fond memories of the family house on Thomas St and how Granny put up with us - I still wonder! Jeff will be sadly missed.
With love, Sam and Nancy

My deepest condolences to the entire Kadwell family. Jeff was a great man whom I regret I never had the pleasure of golfing with - but whenever we were together, always had a great time. I wish I could be there on Saturday in person but will certainly be there in spirit. He will be missed.
