Joel LONGFELLOW Obituary

LONGFELLOW- Joel Frederick passed away at his residence on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at the age of 67 years. Born July 16, 1954 in Toronto, he was the son of the late John and Betty Longfellow. He is survived by his brother Henry Longfellow (SallyAnn), his nieces Amanda Hampson (Tyler) of Jarvis and Allison Wigmore (Jeffrey) of Whitby. Also survived by great niece Charlotte Hampson and great nephews Ethan and Jack Wigmore. Joel loved music and would sing for anyone, even at a moments notice. He spent many years in the Robert Wood Singers. He was a faithful member of Central United Church where his baritone voice will leave a void in the choir. Due to Covid restrictions, a private service will be held with burial to take place in Oakwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Central United Church Choir would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOME, 135 Clarence Street, Port Colborne. Online guest register and condolences are available at www.davidsonfuneralhome.com

My condolences to Joel's family. I met Joel over 30 years ago when I joined the Robert Wood Singers. A super-talented man with a big smile and an even bigger heart. RIP Joel. I'm sure you are already singing in heaven.

My condolences go out to you at this heart breaking time. I remember our walks home from school and his pride of independence being self employed. He did a fantastic job at our store as a general maintenance man and everybody liked him. He had good days and bad days and was very animated about telling me. That was Joel.
He was a Character (in a good way) and he will be missed by all whom had the pleasure of knowing him.
