John LEBLANC Obituary
Died after a short battle with cancer on Thursday, December 16, 2021, at the St. Catharines Hospital at the age of 75. John was a very proud Cape Bretoner. Born in Alder Point, Nova Scotia in 1946. Son of Homer & Martha (Forest) LeBlanc. After working on the boats for several years, finally retiring from Vesuvius Canada. John could be seen on his early morning walks to Tim Hortons, helping out his many friends, dog sitting his best pals, and if you were lucky enough - you might have heard him play his squeeze box/accordion around town. John is survived by his daughter Paulette (LeBlanc) Jim and his only granddaughter, his pride & joy, Jessica. Also his brother Aulden & sister Phyllis both in Nova Scotia, as well as many nieces & nephews. He will be greatly missed by long time friends Pearl & Buck O'Dell. John Sr. was predeceased by his beloved son John Jr. in 2009. To all that knows John Sr. knows that losing his son took a great toll on him. However now we all can be reassured that father & son are reunited at last. By request, there is no visitation or service, but a celebration of life will be held in April 2022. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the HAINE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 26 Ormond Street South, Thorold.
