Josephine KNOLL Obituary

On Thursday morning February 3, 2022 Josephine Marie Knoll went home to be with her Lord.
Josie was born on October 28, 1936 in Thorold to Augustus and Hepzibeth Dame. She was baptized as a child of God in Port Colborne and confirmed in the Faith as well.
Josie married Clyde Knoll on June 1st, 1957 and they were blessed with four children; Tracey, Jeffrey (Sue), David (Jackie) and Michael and eight grandchildren Kristina, David, Jason, Jerika, Kelsey, Megan, Kristin and Kaitlyn and one great-grandchild, Mya. Josie was a devoted wife, mother and (great) grandmother to her family.
Josie was also a very dedicated church worker who served her Lord in a variety of ways including being President for many years of the Mary Martha/LWML Society at Christ Lutheran and the Seminary Guild of Concordia, the Lutheran Theological Seminary in St. Catharines. She helped with various ministry mission groups and volunteer work through her church and also at their church in Palm City, Florida where she and Clyde spent their winters for many years. Josie was a very generous person who shared her talents and blessings in many ways. She had the gift of hospitality and hosted groups for dinner and parties at their home often.
Josie was Secretary Treasurer at her husband's business; The Canadian Tire store at Scott and Vine St. in the Grantham Plaza from 1965-1997.
She will be so greatly missed by her family and friends but forever in our hearts and prayers.
A private funeral service will take place at Christ Lutheran Church with burial to follow. Arrangements entrusted to PLEASANTVIEW FUNERAL HOME. Donations in her memory may be given to the Concordia Lutheran Theological Seminary, St. Catharines. You are invited to share valued memories and condolences on-line at www.pleasantviewcemetery.ca

Mr Knoll and all the Knoll family, I am so saddened to learn of the passing of Mrs Knoll - truly great memories of all the family from the years we cottaged as neighbours on Lake Erie in Wainfleet. I was so young then ( weren´t we all ) and remember vividly how kind Mrs Knoll was to all of us. What a great family all the generations of Knoll´s were and all - have had the privilege of knowing three generations of Knolls. Embrace your family memories and you are in my prayers.

Clyde and family, The Lord be with you in your bereavement. "We grieve but not as those who have no hope." (1 Thessalonians 4:13) Our hope is in the resurrection of the body to eternal life with our Savior, Jesus Christ.
