Kathi Negele Obituary

Born May 1, 1924 in Yugoslavia. In loving memory of our beautiful mother, grandmother and Oma, who passed away peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her loved ones on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 in her 99th year. Survived by loving daughter, Hilda, grandchildren Cathy (John) Szigeti, Joe (Sue) Belcastro and great-granddaughter, Marina Belcastro. Predeceased by parents Anna and Mathias Peckloff, first husband Franz Reffle, second husband Tony Negele, sister Terry Karch, son-in-law Joe (Cheach) Belcastro and great grandson Marcus Belcastro. Kathi loved to bake for everyone often donating her baked goods to charity events and family functions. Her Grenzels were the most popular. She was a volunteer for over 50 years at Woodlands of Sunset (formerly Sunset Haven). Her pride and joy were her daughter Hilda, and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Kathi was always smiling and loved to talk to everyone she came in contact with. She will forever be missed by her family for her generosity and kind spirit. The family will receive friends at JJ PATTERSON & SONS FUNERAL RESIDENCE, 19 YOUNG STREET, WELLAND, Friday, September 2, 2022 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at The Parish Community of St. Kevin at 1 p.m. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Share memories, photos and condolences online at www.jjpatterson.ca

Dear Hilda and family. We are saddened to hear of Mrs Negele´s death. We all loved her wonderful cookies. She was a wonderful neighbour to Savina and Tony DiTomaso. We will be praying for her.

Dear Hilda and family your mom was the greatest baker. We are saddened by your loss. We loved mrs Negele´s cookies. She was a very kind and beautiful woman. She was an excellent volunteer. Mrs Negele was once a neighbour of mom and dad.
We are unable to attend the visitation due to health issues but we will pray for her and your family.

Dear Hilda,
I am saddened by the passing of your Mother, and am praying for you at this time.
Kathi was so friendly, kind and would help anyone in need. My memories of Kathi will remain with me forever!
Kathi was a Beautiful person inside and out.
May Kathi Rest In Peace and let perpetual light shine upon her.
I am unable to attend her funeral mass, as we are on vacation in Newfoundland. My thoughts and prayers continue for all those who are grieving the loss of a wonderful lady.
