1931 - 2021
Kathleen passed away peacefully, at her home in Niagara Falls on Sunday November 14, 2021 with family by her side. She had recently celebrated her 90th birthday. She was predeceased by her beloved husband James "Jim" Scott and their newborn son, Bradley. Loving mother of Rick (Brenda), Jamie (Bridget) and Kathy (hamster, Coco). Cherished grandmother of Tony, Jake, Nic, Marcus, Sean, Eddie (Chante), Sarah (Nigel), and Russell. She was a proud great grandmother of five to Donavan, Aidan, Jordan, Logan and Reid. Born in Chippawa, Ontario to Anne and Thomas Brough, Kathleen was the youngest of five siblings. She often spoke fondly of her childhood in Chippawa. Following high school, she spent a year in teachers college and began a brief career in teaching before she met and married Jim on April 12, 1953. They raised their family in Niagara Falls and together, Kathleen and Jim opened and ran a successful crafts production business. After retirement, Kathleen thoroughly enjoyed her Casino and Bingo nights out with her daughter Kathy. Scratch tickets at the kitchen table was always a favorite activity shared by the two of them. Above all else, Kathleen loved her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Kathleen's family would like to thank all those who provided care during her short illness. There will be a private Memorial service held at Morse and Son Funeral Home, 5917 Main St., Niagara Falls at 11:00 on Wednesday November 17, 2021.
