Lois PHILLIPS Obituary

Passed away on May 5th, 2022, with family by her side, at Woodlands of Sunset, Welland at the age of 88 years. Lois is survived by her sons, Jeffrey (Bonnie) Smyth and Chris Smyth; her grandchildren, Sheena, Doug (Becky) and Ashley, her great-grandchildren Xander, Ty, Liam, Carson, and Tripp her brother Barry (Stephanie) Thomson, her sister Brenda (David) Whiting, her many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Harold and Florence Thomson, her first husband Douglas Smyth, her second husband John Phillips and her son Brian Smyth. Lois was born and raised in Humberstone and was a lifelong resident of Port Colborne. Lois worked in the banking industry and later for Herb Fraser's. After Lois retired, she enjoyed the camping life at Birchwood Acres, Dunnville and wintering in Hawaii. We the family, would like to thank the entire staff of Woodlands of Sunset for the wonderful care you all provided for Mom during the last six years, and the special care, compassion and support provided during Mom's last days. There are so many people at Woodlands that went above and beyond, that we can't list them, in fear of missing someone, but what we can say is that the family appreciated all the special treatment, the support, the kindness and the care. We would also like to thank Bonnie for six years of work, care, and compassion for Mom. By Lois's request, there will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place and there will be a graveside service held at Oakwood Cemetery on Thursday, May 12, 2022, at 2pm. If so desired memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Arrangements entrusted to the DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOME 135 Clarence St. Port Colborne.
