Lonnie WALL Obituary

It is with heavy hearts, and a glass raised high that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Lonnie 'LONBO' Wall on October 11, 2022. Lonnie leaves behind his loving mother Treasure Wall and his younger brother Lance. In his words, his two children were his greatest achievements. Forever remembered, and eternally referred to as Dad by Geordie Wall (Greta) and Carleigh Davis (Robert). Lonnie aka Good-Time-Grandpa will be deeply missed by his favourite 'munkeroos' on earth Ryleigh, Sawyer, Banks, and Iris. His rugged country upbringing could melt at any given moment when it came to his grandchildren. A 43-year member in good standing of the IBEW Local 303, Lonnie will be recalled as a stand-up electrician by brothers and sisters within his jurisdiction and those across the continent. Beyond that, Lonnie left a lasting impression on anyone who was lucky enough to cross paths with him. Always remembered as someone to look on the bright side and recall the better times when the road got tough. Lonnie's outlook was a lesson to all for living life in the moment, and to keep your eyes on the road, rather than not move at all. Prior to his passing Lonnie lived out his lifelong dream of retiring in Costa Rica. Reunited with his late father Jerry Wall and brother Jason Wall, we know our loved ones are back on the tools in the 'shop', tuning up Plum Tuckered for the next 4x4 Poker Run! At Lonnie's request cremation has taken place. A celebration of life has been planned from 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at the Royal Canadian Legion, 130 Garrison Road, Fort Erie, Ontario.

So I first met Lonnie when I was just 16 and he was a wee bit younger. We had contact on and off for almost 50 years. He gave his tarantula Tammy Faye to my son Andrew many years ago and he won a few school presentations with Tammy. The past few years I would call Treasure and often get Lonnie. He always made me laugh and was so kind as I went through some difficult times. He is a good soul, may he rest in peace.

Such a wonderful tribute to your dad Geordie and Carleigh. We were happy to have met him and know how heartbroken you all are. His legacy will live on in his kids and his beloved grandkids. Cherish your memories.
