Lorna Major Obituary

Peacefully passed away on October 15, 2022, at her home, with family by her side, in her 96th year. Beloved wife of the late Lloyd Major (2002). She will be lovingly remembered by her children Joan (Les) Wonch, Eileen (the late Bob) Maybury, Carol (the late John) Smith, and Kenneth Major. Predeceased by her children Shirley Kelley, Arlene (the late Wayne) Woods, Helen (the late Mike) MacKenzie, and Peter Major. Loving Gram to Lisa, Danny (Monica), Bobby (Patty), Sherry (Chris), Joshua (Dione), Chris (Janet), Charlotte (Paul), Donna, and David (Christina), as well as 14 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her brothers Pete and Raymond Upper. Lorna worked at GNGH and retired after 26 years of service. She was a longtime, faithful member of Falls View Church, volunteering many hours with baking pies and working events. Her world revolved around her family, and she enjoyed whatever time she could spend with them. Family and friends will be received on Friday, October 21, 2022, from 10 - 11 a.m. at Falls View Church, 7189 Drummond Rd. Niagara Falls. A Funeral Service will be held immediately following at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Lundy's Lane Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to Falls View Church would be appreciated by the family. I worked with Lorna at GNHG...l took over her job when she retired..what a little sweet kind woman she was...and a real hard worker..we always managed to laugh at some crazy thing everyday.. my condolences to her family..you were blessed to have so long
