Lynda was born July 18, 1949 in Niagara Falls to parents Flora and Victor Labatt. Lynda passed away suddenly without warning February 25, 2021 at the age of 71. Lynda was predeceased by her parents and younger brother Mark and is survived by her husband Bill Gorham.
Lynda attended St. Thomas Moore Elementary, followed by Loretta Academy. She earned her BA in Classics at Brock University and her BA of ED at Western University. Her career in education started at John Marshall public school with the Niagara South Board of Education. She pursued advancement in the administrative stream becoming a Learning Resource Teacher, Vice Principal and Principal. Lynda's final assignment before retirement was as Principal of Senator Gibson Public School in Beamsville with the District School Board of Niagara.
Lynda loved traveling and the outdoors first sailing and in retirement via her favourite fifth wheel. She managed to see some of Europe and most of the North American continent with Florida and Deep South Texas being her two favourite winter destinations. She loved life and everything it had to offer, was a positive force for all who knew her, always greeting the day with a bright cheery smile.
