MacDONALD, Malcolm (Matt) Suddenly on Friday, February 1, 2019 at St. Catharines Hospital at 70 years of age. Loving husband of Marlene (nee:MacMullin). Devoted father to Kirk (Rhodalyn) MacDonald, Stacey MacDonald, Donalda (Jason) Scarry. Proud Poppie of Little Kirk, Colin and Patrick. Dear brother of Winnie MacDonald, Dena (Brian) LeBlanc, Ronnie (Karen) MacDonald, Ellie (Larry) Parks, Marion MacDonald (Wade), the late Brian MacDonald. Remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends especially Terry Taylor. Matt was retired from LIUNA Local 837 where he worked for 30 years. In his younger years he sailed on the Lake Boats. Special thank you to the emergency response personnel and the doctors and nurses at St. Catharines Hospital for your care and compassion. Till we meet again ""there I was"". Family and friends will be received at Pleasantview Funeral Home, 2000 Merrittville Hwy., Thorold on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with vigil prayers for Matt being celebrated at 3 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 316 Queenston St., St. Catharines on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. with cremation to follow.
