It is with love and sadness that we announce the passing of Carmel on February 16, 2023 in Calgary, Alberta at the age of 93. Loving and best mother to Garry (Jill), Laverne, Karen Ann (Garry), Bryan (Jennifer). Cherished grandmother to eight grand-children, and great-grand-mother to nine great-grand-children. Carmel was pre-deceased by her siblings, and three of her grandchildren.
Arrangements entrusted to George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 10 a.m. at St. Julia Catholic Church with interment to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. If desired, donations to the Alzheimer's Society of Niagara would be appreciated by Carmel's family.

I have many fond memories of "Mama Lefrancois". One of them being shopping at the Pen Centre and going to Second Cup for tea.
I´m so glad you were able to spend her last years together in Calgary.
