Marija Pavelich Obituary
Mary was born in Jezerane, Lika, Croatia on January 21, 1944. After living in Germany for two years they immigrated to Canada in 1968. They moved from Kapuskasing Ontario to Thorold in 1987. She was a kind, generous and loving person, greatly cherished by her family and friends. She will be missed by those who's lives she touched.
The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to the caring and compassionate nursing staff in the Telemetry department of the Welland hospital.
The family will receive friends at J.J. Patterson & Sons Funeral Residence, 19 Young Street, Welland on Monday, May 29, 2023 from 4-8 p.m. with vigil prayers being offered at 4 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua Croatian Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at 11 o'clock. Rite of Committal to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Anthony of Padua Croatian Roman Catholic Church would be greatly appreciated by the family. Dear George, Joyce, Tony, Robert and all family. Rolly Barber and I (former police officers in Kapuskasing) would like to offer our very sincere condolences on the loss of your very dear wife/mother. We have very cherished memories of our years in Kapuskasing together and our visits to Trnovac where we met many family relatives and sat and ate delicious meals.
