After a short illness, Marilyn passed away peacefully at the Welland Hospital on November 24, 2021, surrounded by her family. Cherished mother of Jaimie (Mike) Journeaux. She will be greatly missed by her siblings, Bill (Nancy) Johnston, Judy (Tom) Vaccaro, Barry Johnston and Gary Johnston, sister-in-law Marie Wilson as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents George and Margaret Johnston, sisters Joan Johnston, Maggie Johnston, Betty Cote and brother Bobby Johnston. Special thanks to Marie and Brandie Wilson and Julie and Matt Cote for their support and care over the last few months. It was very much a comfort to the family. Marilyn worked for the region of Niagara for 35 years as a PSW/housekeeper at Sunset Haven and Rapelje Lodge. Her final ten years of employment she was vice president of CUPE 1263. A Private Service will be held. Donations in memory of Merilyn to the Hamilton Burlington SPCA will be appreciated by the family. Please share your condolences and words of comfort with the family at
