Martha Chudyk Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Martha (Cecchi) Chudyk on Friday, May 12th. Martha will be sadly missed by Nick, her devoted husband of 68 years, her 3 daughters: Cathy Nursall (Marcello), Carolyn Wren (Bruce), and Cindy Chudyk (Stuart) and her 2 grandchildren: Alexandra Nursall (Andy) and Cameron Nursall. Survived by her younger siblings, Mario Cecchi (Gail) and Esther Torosian. In her 89 years, Martha's effervescent personality, quirky charm, and her honest observations were coupled with her friendliness, love of family and neighbourhood community; she mothered the children and she helped the elderly with enthusiasm and commitment. Special thanks to the staff at NHS St. Catharines and the Palliative Unit at Hotel Dieu Shaver for their outstanding care. A private committal service was held at Pleasantview Cemetery on May 16, 2023. The Celebration of Martha's life will be held in June, TBA. Donations to the Charity of Your Choice in memory of Martha would be appreciated by her family.

To Nick, Cathy, Cindy,(Carolyn) Martha was like my other mother. I cherish all the memories hanging out the kitchen of your house drinking tea and laughing until we cried! I can still picture your mum talking to me and pointing her finger at me. My life was better because Martha had a hand in it! Love to you all Tami Starostic Whittington

So very sorry for your loss!! Your mom was a very special person. Martha and I had a special relationship with her always encouraging me to start my family as she said I was getting older and it was time to start my family! Within a short time I did start resulting in 2 boys. And now 3 grandsons. She helped change my life for the better. Rest in peace my special friend. You and the girls meant a lot to me!!
