Mary NELSON

It is with great sadness we announce our mom, Mary Nelson, passed away on July 31, 2022. She was 77 years young (almost 78). Beloved wife to the late Bob Nelson and mother of two children, Bobby & Karen Nelson. Mary loved spending time with her two grandchildren, Liam and Jacob, and shopping with Karen. She also loved relaxing in her chair, watching tv with her cute fuzzy gloves on that warmed her hands, due to some neuropathy she had from diabetes. She enjoyed walking around the house with her walker, too. She really loved rigatoni and pork meatballs with Oktoberfest sausage. She took care of her family for most her life but in her earlier days worked at Girotti's for 19 years painting/airbrushing statues. She kept the house impeccably clean. You fought hard and we really tried but God had other plans for you. You're free from your physical problems now. You're with Dad, your siblings: Mio, Donnie, and Joe Ceci, Linda and Ernie Holder, and Mimi and Ollie Nelson, and your parents whom you lost at a very young age, Lena & Ernest Ceci, and friends that have passed on. Many cousins, nephews, and nieces are thinking about you, too. The Pepins, Chamberlains, Holders, Cecis, and friends you've known for most of your life, Cookie and Barb. People are never really gone. It just changes. Enjoy your new life with past friends and relatives. We all love you Mom and will always be with you. In honouring Mary's wishes, a celebration of life will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 06, 2022, at Considerate Cremation & Burial Services, 26 Nihan Drive, St. Catharines (between Lake Street & Scott Street). In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Diabetes Association or Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to Considerate Cremation & Burial Services, 289-362-1144.
