Eddy and I first met Mel 17 years ago when we purchased a cottage on the same street in Sherkston. Mel was our go to guy whenever anything in the cottage was not working right. He was a kind hearted man who would help a neighbor whenever he could. He will be deeply missed. Our deepest condonlences to Maria,Melissa,Mason and Mitchell. We hope you all find comfort in the cherished memories .
May he RIP.

I first met Melvin in my early teens and our paths crossed later when our families grew together and our children grew up together going on vacations for 12 years, spending many summer long weekends camping at Empire Rd and not to mention the infamous June BBQs that lit up the sky with burning skids. A more laid back, kind and selfless person would be hard to find and our family feels as though we have lost one of our own.......really we did.
Our hearts go out to Maria, Melynda, Mitchell and Mason. He was so proud of his children and you guys truly gave him a reason. Love you all

Mel was without a doubt one of the most kind hearted, empathetic, & giving people that have ever crossed my path.
Genuine to the soul. Giving without hesitation. A wonderful friend.
He made everyone's day perfect with his supportive nature & humour.
He was admirably devoted to is beautiful children.
I offer my deepest most heartfelt sympathy to his family.
May you all preserve his light and love of life in your hearts.
Smile and laugh when you remember Mel. I know I will.
Kindest regards,
Warmest memories
