Michael Paul PILON

1966 - 2022

Passed away on Thursday September 15, 2022, at Westhills Care Centre in St. Catharines at the age of 56 years. Mike was diagnosed with MSA (Multiple Systems Atrophy) approximately 5 years ago which is an extremely rare degenerative disease that has no known cure but despite this Mike's strong spirit and sense of humour continued to thrive till the very end. Mike was born on May 2, 1966, in Welland. He was a well-known hairstylist for many years in various salons throughout the Niagara region. Mike was a man of many talents. He excelled in hairdressing and was quite the dapper dresser. He took pride in being a son, brother, and uncle. He loved his parents unconditionally. We can take solace knowing that he is in heaven with his mother now, singing and dancing. Mike will be missed dearly by his father, Leonard Pilon and stepmom Madelaine, brother Tim (Cheryl) Pilon, sister Tracy (Paul) Fasan, special close friend Marc Beauregard, step-sisters Karey (Mark) Taylor and Amy (Bob) Becken, many nieces and nephews, great niece, and nephew along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Mike was predeceased by his mother Nicole Pilon and grandparents Ralph and Beatrice Pilon and Luc and Jeanne Bisson. The family wishes to thank Mikes nurse Jocelyn. Jocelyn was a godsend. She helped him at his apartment before he moved to Westhills Care Centre. Memorial visitation will be held on Friday September 23, 2022, from 1pm - 3pm and 6pm - 8pm at J.J. Patterson and Sons Funeral Residence, 19 Young Street, Welland. Vigil prayers at 2pm. A Private graveside service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations in memory of Mike can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or The Ronald McDonald House. Respectfully, to protect the health of all involved we ask you to mask before entering.
