Mona SCHULZ Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear mother Mona on Wednesday, July 06, 2022 with her family at her side. Mona was in her 87th year. She has now been reunited with her beloved husband Willy (2013).
Cherished and devoted mother to Lory (Shane) Szumowski and Heidi Scott, and beloved son-in-law Wayne Scott.
Special G'ma and Gramma to Emily (Andrew) Robidas and Wyatt Scott.
Mona will be sadly missed by her sister-in law Mary Lou Duemo.
Predeceased by her siblings Ted Duemo, Doris Cain and Allan Duemo as well as her parents Joseph and Shirley Duemo.
She will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Her family extends a heartfelt 'Thank You' to the staff and nurses in the Brock and Regatta units at Linhaven for their care and compassion over the course of Mona's stay.
Those who knew Mona, knew she was very devoted to her family. She was most known for her quilting, cooking and baking and spending time with family and friends. She was a long-time and faithful parishioner at Grace Anglican church and a choir member there as well.
Mona's family will receive the comfort of friends at PLEASANTVIEW FUNERAL HOME (2000 Merrittville Hwy at the corner of Hwy 20) on Sunday, July 10th from 4-7 p.m. A funeral service will take place at St. George's Anglican Church (83 Church St. St.Catharines) on Monday, July 11th at 10:30 a.m. with cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Society will be appreciated by her family. You are invited to share valued memories and condolences on-line at www.pleasantviewcemetery.ca
