With deep sorrow the family of Nick announces his sudden passing, in the arms of his loving wife, while on vacation in Greece on Sunday, September 18, 2022, at the age of 73. Beloved husband of 52 years to Pat (nee Murray). Nick was a devoted father to his sons the late Michael (2019) and David Sinodhinos. He was a loving grandpa to Madyson and Jacob Sinodhinos, who he wanted so badly to watch grow up. He will be deeply missed by his sisters Madeleine (Gerry) Rousell and Helen (the late Jim) Anderson and also by his brothers-in-law Fred (Judy) and Tom (Linda) Murray. Nick is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews that brought him much joy. Nick was devoted to his family and worked hard to make life easier for them. He also made time for his many close friends, old and new, that he appreciated for many years. Nick worked at Abex in Niagara Falls for 22 years when the company moved to the United States; he was the last one out the door in 1992. He then started working for the Town of Fort Erie, from which he retired in 2011. His colleagues at the town paid respect to his management skills and considered him a friend, as shown at his retirement. One of Nick's many passions, beside family and friends, was playing and watching sports. He played many organized sports after he moved to Niagara Falls from Montreal at the age of 8, of course Montreal was his favorite team. Later in life, Nick's great passion became golf, as he enjoyed working at Thundering Waters Golf Club whenever he wasn't golfing on the course. If you knew Nick, you would smile at his memory as he loved a good laugh and made many silly jokes and pranks. He would want you to keep smiling and have many great memories. Cremation has taken place; he is finally home with his family and now it's time to put him to rest. Friends are invited to join the family at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St. Niagara Falls, visiting Friday, October 21, 2022, from 6 to 8 pm and Saturday, October 22, 2022, from 9 am to 11 am. A Funeral Service in celebration of Nick's life will be held at the funeral home 11 am. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. In memory of Nick, and in honour of his son Michael's memory, memorial contributions may be to the Kidney Cancer Foundation, and would be appreciated.
