Orlin Everett SIMONS

Orlin Everett Simons of Welland, Ontario , passed away February 5, 2022 at the Leduc Hospital in Alberta. He died peacefully in his sleep surrounded by family. He is survived by his loving wife Dorothy (Barrett), loving daughter Erin Pawlick (Simons) and husband Jason, loving son Eric and husband Mike Vodnoski-Simons of Alberta and beloved grandchildren Riley and Tucker.
Survived by many family members nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, brother in law John Ventnor, nephews Adam and Kurt Ventnor and their families and Sister in law Edna Ruzanske.
He was predeceased by parents Everett and Irene, his sister Laureen (Ventnor) of Welland, Ontario and brother Bob Weldon of Collingwood, Ontario.
Orlin graduated from Niagara College in Welland. He became a Police Officer on the Thorold Ontario Police force, he then became a librarian in Kirkland Lake Ontario. From there he became a paper worker at Gallagher Paper Mill in Thorold Ontario until retirement. Orlin passions where playing Santa Claus at many functions. Orlin and his father played bagpipes with the Thorold Bagpipe Band. His nephew Kurt Ventnor has taken on that legacy, his son in law Mike and Grandson Tucker will take on the passion as well.
