Patricia Robinson Obituary

May 9, 1938 - July 17, 2022
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Mother, Grandmother, and G.G. Surrounded by her family, Patricia was welcomed into the arms of her Heavenly Father on Sunday, July 17, 2022, in her 85th year.

Patricia enjoyed golfing at Erie Breeze, was an enthusiastic card player, she "played for fun, but she played to win." She often hosted family dinners, was an excellent cook, and her pies were the highlight of Christmas and Thanksgiving celebrations. She had a green thumb, and took great care tending to her house plants and gardens. She loved music, and could be found at the piano during family sing-a-longs. After raising her eight children, she studied to be an RPN in her mid forties and worked at the Welland County General Hospital for many years. As a Christian, she had a strong faith that never faltered. She served as an elder at the Wainfleet Congregational Christian Church and will be missed by her church family.

She leaves behind her children Shirley Smith, son-in-law Darrell Laviolette, Catherine Snider (Glen), John Robinson, Frances Gibson (Mike), Bernice Weaver (Al), Robert Robinson (Laura) and Scot Robinson (Rachel). She was a loving grandmother to 37 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren, all of whose lives she touched. Pat is also survived by her siblings Jack Patterson (Carol), Julia McGregor, Donna Legge (Vern), brother-in-law Thom Christmann, and Bill Patterson (Judy).

Pat is predeceased by her parents, Gordon and Luella Patterson, her husband, Russell (Jack) Robinson. Her siblings, Murray Patterson (Jane), Jim Patterson (Roberta), Doreen Christmann, her brother-in-law Harry McGregor, her daughter Marie Laviolette, and her son-in-law Dan Smith and her daughter-in-law Cheryl Robinson (nee Harcourt).

The Robinson family will receive visitors at the DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOME, 135 Clarence Street, Port Colborne on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 from 6-8 p.m. and on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 from 2-3 p.m. in the Davidson Chapel with the service to follow at 3:00 p.m. Cremation will follow. If so desired, memorial donations may be made to the Huntington Society.
