Paul GREGOIRE Obituary
GREGOIRE, Paul Howard June 28, 1941 - May 5, 2018 It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Paul Gregoire after a short illness. Lovingly remembered by his wife of 54 years Alice (Duhamel), sons Michael (Holly), Christopher, predeceased by his son Steven (1985), and his cherished grandchildren Jordyn, Brendan and Megan. He will be fondly remembered by his brother Don (Marlene) and many nieces, nephews and in-laws. For over 35 years with the Lincoln County Separate School Board at St. Denis and P.K. Kerwin schools, Paul's love for teaching enabled him to touch the lives of many students, with his passion for history. In retirement, you could find Paul cheering on the Jays, Raptors and Maple Leafs. Paul shared and loved extensive travelling with Alice and especially enjoyed the Canadian culture of Newfoundland. His sons were his pride and joy. They knew, as boys and men, that he would always be there to listen and chat about anything. He was a father who gave unconditional love and support. His grandchildren held him dear with memories of his kindness and gentle demeanour. He loved watching Jordyn take her horse Jack through his equestrian paces with pride, while he shared his interest in all sports with Brendan and could always be assured that he kept Megan's magic dish full. Paul was always Tickety Boo and will be truly missed. The family will receive friends at the HAINE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 26 Ormond Street South, Thorold on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Julia Church (251 Glenridge Ave., St. Catharines) on Friday, May 11th at 11:00 a.m. If so desired, donations to Start Me Up Niagara would be appreciated by the family.
