Raffaele Battaglini Obituary

It is with heartfelt sadness the family of Raffaele Battaglini announces his passing. He passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at the age of 96 years. He will be dearly missed by his wife Marisa of 63 years, his children Giulia (Graeme), Teresa (Sam), Guy (Flavia) and Tina (Ron). Proud grandfather of eight grandchildren Tyler, Calvin, Josh, Jake, Cole, Alayna, Cassie and Ella. Also missed by great-grandchild Maverick and step-grandchildren Jeremy and Eric. Dear brother of the late Maria Teresa Pelino (the late Pietro), Laura Cercone (the late Carlo), Anna Rodognia (the late Giovanni), Angelina Marchionda (the late Concezio) and Adele DiMatteo (Salvatore). Ralph will also be missed by his in-laws Guido Vitucci (the late Giusepina), Giuseppe Vitucci (Lina), Roberto Vitucci (Pina), Silvana Salvi (Venturino), Amelia Mirandola (the late Gino), Norma Dumais (Mark). He was predeceased by his brothers-in-law Raffaele, Lino, Ottavio and Vincenzo. He will also be missed by his many nieces, nephews and friends. Ralph was a loving, kind, generous and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. His greatest joy was spending time with his family. He beamed with pride at all family functions. Ralph was a man of few words but he kept us updated on current events and willingly educated us on history and geography of the world. He enjoyed fishing and took pride in tending to his garden right up to his last days. Private family service to take place followed by entombment at Pleasantview Mausoleum. If desired, memorial donations to Diabetes Canada would be appreciated. "Dearest dad, you will be greatly missed. Memories of you will live with us forever. Rest in peace dad until we see you again."
