Richard CATHERWOOD Obituary

Passed away at peace on Sunday, June 19, 2022, at the age of 68. A loving and dedicated Husband to Elaine Catherwood (nee Genereaux) for 40 meaningful years, Dad and Father-in-Law to Nicole Catherwood, Michael McKey, Dana & Wes McNair. A very proud Papa to Tyler McKey & Harley McNair. Predeceased by his parents; Staff Sergeant David & Eileen Catherwood, his sister Ann Lombardy, beloved Mother-in-Law Rose Genereaux, close family friend Tom Trickett, and his fur baby Roxie. Fondly remembered by Kayleen Trickett, Richard Kerr, and the Genereaux families. Richard was a family man, a proud welder, a coffee connoisseur, an Astronomy enthusiast, enjoyed tuning into the Discovery Channel, Nova, and Seinfeld. One of Richard's other great joys was the special motorcycle his wife gifted him early in their marriage. Cremation has taken place. Please join us to celebrate Richard's life on Saturday, July 9th, from 11:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. at the NIAGARA FALLS HISTORY MUSEUM, 5810 Ferry St., Niagara Falls. To Rick´s family, I offer my condolences. Rick and I were friends for our teenage years on Jepson St. Unfortunately, our lives went in opposite directions, and we never did see each other again. I was able to connect with him on facebook messenger, albeit, so very briefly. Covid got in our way, and we were unable to get together and tell each other some of the happenings in our lives. Rick, RIP, my old friend.
