Passed away suddenly at home on September 5, 2022 at the age of 65.
Son of the late Raymond Hyde (2003) and Jean Hyde (2007). He was the loving Husband and best friend to Sandra Hyde. Predeceased by brother Donald Hyde (2018). He leaves behind his son Joshua as well as stepson, Brandon Martine (Sam), sisters Rae Marie Hyde and Janice (Barry), brother Charles (Cathy), Sister-in-Law Cheryl Bilodeau (Dave), Brother-in-law Bill (Ambra), Brother-in-Law, Mike Hyde (Betsy), Mother-in-law, Claire Hyde and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Rob attended Wilfred Laurier University. He started his banking carer with CIBC, account manager for 17 years, then moved onto Scotia Bank for 8 months. Completing his career with Laurentian Bank as a Senior Manger for over 21 years. He retired in January of 2019 and moved
to Ridgeway, to be with his, soon to be wife, Sandra. They were married in 2019. Rob loved living by the lake in Ridgeway and developed many new friends in the short time he was here. One of his new pastimes was searching out new farmers markets, shops and wineries and sharing all his new finds with family & friends. He also thoroughly enjoyed his Sunday sports days and especially all Blue Jay Days. He loved intelligent conversations and had a quick wit, which seems to be a HYDE trait and what everyone thoroughly enjoyed about him. Mourning his loss, his wife, Sandra and their puppy, Mocha who just celebrated her 1st Birthday and will miss him forever. Cremation has taken place. The Hyde family will receive visitors at the DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOME, 135 Clarence Street, Port Colborne on Friday, September 16, 2022 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In Lieu of flowers, donations to ALS, Sick Children's Hospital Foundation or the SPCA would be welcomed.
