Robert Mitchell MILINKOVICH

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of Robert Mitchell Milinkovich on Sunday, July 4, 2021 at the age of 54. He passed away gently in the loving arms of his wife of 27 years, Joanne (nee Butera). Robert was the proud and devoted father of Sarah and Rachel. Robert was predeceased by his grandparents Robert and Stella Milinkovich and Kenneth and Marjorie Ruller, his father-in-law Angelo Butera and several aunts and uncles. He is survived by his parents Mitchell and Penny Milinkovich, his mother-in-law Teresa Butera, his sister Tracy Stamp (Peter), his brother Brett Milinkovich (Jody), his sister-in-law Maria Butera and his brother- in- law John Butera (Dorota). Robert was the proud uncle of Kayla (Andres), Chelsea, Jordan, Brian (Madison), Alicia and Angelo. He leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Professionally, Robert was a highly respected and heavily sought-after Senior Construction Project Manager, specializing in industrial and commercial buildings. He used his expertise in the field and strong work ethic to oversee the building of several hospitals, hotels, schools etc. He took great pride in his finished projects and was rather accomplished already at such a young age. Robert's witty humour, beautiful smile and hospitable nature made for so many enjoyable gatherings with friends and family. He was the life of the party and it was important to him that others were enjoying themselves as well. Robert's infectious laugh brought tears of joy time and time again. He enjoyed watching football and hockey games and fishing and golfing with his friends. Robert was fortunate to receive wonderful and compassionate care from all his doctors and nurses. In particular, thank you to Dr. Gallab, Dr. Makar, Dr. Sobkowski, Dr. Housely, Dr. Girard and to nurse Alison. You are all truly real life superheroes for all that you do. Robert was happy and proud to have the love and admiration of his wife and daughters. He was supportive of their educational and personal endeavors and always stressed the importance of perseverance and resilience. Robert's life was cut far too short by his illness however, we must take comfort in knowing that he is no longer in pain and at peace in a better place. Although it is hard for his family and friends to imagine a life without him, Robert would be the first to remind us to make each day count and every moment matter. 'Soar Like an Eagle My Love' Respecting the government restrictions of COVID-19, including the requirement of pre-booked appointments for visitation and Funeral Mass (by calling 905-358-3513 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.), friends are invited to call at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St. Niagara Falls visiting Wednesday from 2:30 to 4:30 and 6 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church (limited capacity). The Rite of Committal will follow at Fairview Cemetery. In memory of Robert, memorial contributions may be made to the Trillium Gift of Life Network, and would be appreciated by his family.
