Rocco VOTANO

VOTANO, Rocco Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on November 19, 2018 at Northland Pointe in his 87th year. Beloved husband of the late Maria (nee Porcino). Loving father of Lina Arcaro (Mario), Joanne Foresi (Leonard), Mimma (Linda), Rick and Fortunato (Dita). Caring nonno of Darren (Karen), Michael (Lauren) and Justin Arcaro, Ashley and Chris Foresi, Lexus and Samantha Votano, and bis - nonno of Nova Arcaro. Dear brother of Maria Guarnaccia (Antonio), Giovanna, Giuseppe, Francesco (Santina) and Antonio (Carmela). Zio to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Rocco and Eleonara Votano. Rocco was born in Orti, Reggio Calabria Italy on July 26, 1932. He married Maria on December 9, 1956 and immigrated to Canada, landing in Halifax December 20, 1960 and then settled in Port Colborne. Rocco worked at area chemical plants, tobacco farms and then at INCO until he retired in 1982. Many thanks to dad's caregivers at Northland Pointe for all their loving care and support. Rocco's family will receive friends at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL , 179 Clarence Street, Port Colborne on Thursday, November 22, 2018 from 12 - 2 p.m. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated following the visitation in the Armstrong Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Rite of Committal will follow at Mt.
