Sharon Gayle Gianetto

With her family by her side, Sharon peacefully passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2022, at the age of 81. She has been reunited with her beloved husband, Joe (2010). Loving mother of Joe (Terry), Jeff and Steve (Liz). Cherished Granny of Joey (Rachel), Kyle, Steven, Brianna, and proud Great-Grandma of Emery. Sharon will be missed by her sister Bonnie, brother Joe (Diane) and by many nieces and nephews.
Sharon was born and grew up in St. Catharines and continued to raise her own family there. She dedicated over 30 years working as a law clerk at Sullivan Mahoney on King Street in St. Catharines. She built many friendships with the girls that worked there and felt that her career was one of her greatest accomplishments. Sharon and Joe spent many years visiting their trailer at Sherkston Shores, where they gathered with friends, enjoyed cocktails at 5 and many years of socializing. This truly gave them the greatest enjoyment in their lifetime. However, her favourite role was being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother; her family made her proud and gave her much joy.
A special thank you to the nursing home team on the 4th floor at Albright Manor and to the West Lincoln Memorial Hospital for their excellent care and support. We also want to share some gratitude to Sharon's niece, Annette for many visits and for bringing fish and chips for dinner, which mom always enjoyed.
In accordance with Sharon's wishes, cremation has taken place and arrangements have been entrusted with Essentials Cremation and Burial Services (905-354-2133). A Celebration of Sharon's life and a gathering will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2022, from 2-4 p.m. at the St. Catharines Museum & Welland Canals Centre, 1932 Welland Canals Parkway, St. Catharines (2nd floor, the Lockview Lounge).
