After a brief battle with cancer, Shirley Eileen Kembley passed away on September 3, 2022, at the Port Colborne General Hospital. Shirley was 84 years old. Shirley is survived by her husband Lorne, and her children Kevin of Port Colborne, Heather (Tim) Fletcher of Burlington and Rhonda (Doug) Lemon of Woodstock. Loved by her grandchildren Claire Lemon, Greydon Fletcher and Griffin Fletcher. Shirley was predeceased by her brothers Keith Boldrick, Carmen Boldrick, and her sister Eva Widdicks and survived by her sisters-in-law Marion and Joyce, and brother-in-law John.
Shirley was born on September 28, 1938, in her grandmother's farmhouse north of Thomasburg Ontario, and later moved with her parents to a house south of Thomasburg. When she was 17 she moved to Belleville to work at Northern Electric, where she met Lorne Kembley. They were married on May 11, 1963, at the Thomasburg United Church, and after a brief time in Ottawa, they settled in Port Colborne where Lorne took a teaching position at Port Colborne High School.
Shirley raised her three children in Port Colborne and spent summers at the Kembley family cottage in Priceville Ontario. She enjoyed photography, gardening, time at home, time with family and her church community.
Shirley spent her final three months in the palliative care unit of the Port Colborne General Hospital and the family would like to thank Dr. Scher and the nursing teams on 2 West for all they did in providing her care and keeping her comfortable.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at the DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOME, 135 Clarence Street on Saturday, October 1st, 2022, with visitation at 12:00 pm until the time of the service at 2:00 pm with a reception at Port Colborne United Church, 30 Delhi Street, Port Colborne at 3:00pm.
