Stanislaw OPALKA Obituary

OPALKA, Stanislaw Passed away peacefully on Thursday December 6, 2018 at the age of 94. Beloved husband of Bronislawa. Dear father of Jerzy Minszczak (Janina), Edward Minszczak (Biruta), Maria (Mariola) Wimbush (Allan) and Piotr Opalka (Ewa). Proud dziadek of nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Stanislaw immigrated to Canada from Poland to reunite with his children in 1982. He will be remembered for his love of soccer and sports, joking with his family and friends. He was always available to lend a hand. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. The family will receive friends at J.J. Patterson & Sons Funeral Residence 19 Young Street, Welland Tuesday from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Sts. Peter & Paul Church Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. Rite of Committal will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Donations to Sts. Peter & Paul Church would be appreciated.
