RAU
It is with very heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our loving father, grandfather, husband, brother, uncle and loyal friend, Michael Andrew Rau on October 6, 2015 at the age of 63 years. Michael was born in Edson on May 30, 1952 to Adolf and Phylis, the eldest of 5 siblings. He was raised around the Calgary area where he went to school and it was here that he met the love of his life, Shirley. They got married February 17, 1973 and started their lives together in Calgary. During this time they started their family of 4 children. They moved out to the farm in James River where they started farming and completed their family with their 5th child. They built up their farm by raising cattle, swines, chickens and to this day the farm still raises cattle. Michael worked in different fields such as; Burnco, A.G.T., Sandy's Welding and then getting on with Clearwater County driving school bus in Caroline for 28 years. He was an avid sportsfan whether it be baseball, football, hockey or soccer. He especially enjoyed cheering on his children and now grandchildren in their various sports. Michael had a sense of humour and loved joking around especially with his children, grandchildren and friends. He will be sadly missed and forever loved but it brings us peace knowing he is reunited with Shirley. Micheal leaves to mourn his loving children Eva, Marg, Liz (Kevin), Clint; grandchildren Daniel, Rebbecca, Stephanie, Jordan, Sean, Tyler, Meghan, Michael, Jazmine; as well as numerous brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
