CROSBIE, Gertrude C.M., LL.D (Hons.) Died peacefully at St. Clares Mercy Hospital in St. John's, NL., Saturday, March 27, 2004. Born May 25, 1925 in St. John's, daughter of the late Andrew and Janet Murray. Beloved wife of the late A.H. (Bill) Crosbie. Loving mother and grandmother of Janet (John Maly), Saltspring Island and their sons Tim and Stephen Maly; Andrea, St. John's; William, Washington, DC; David, Holyrood and his sons Nicholas and Thomas Crosbie and their mother Suzanne Brake; Paul (Ellen Dinn), St. John's and their daughters Jessie and Emma Crosbie. Leaving to mourn Sister-in-law Olga Ayre, cousins Janet Murphy and Jean Murray. Her many acts of kindness will be remembered by relatives, friends and strangers. These tasks were often accomplished with the help of Jim Donovan.
Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, St. John's, NL, with visitation on Monday and Tuesday from 1-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service to take place on Wednesday, March 31, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. from St. David's Presbyterian Church, Elizabeth Avenue. Interment to follow at the General Protestant Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations in Gert's memory may be made to the Cerebral Palsy Association of Newfoundland, P.O.
