null MIDGLEY Obituary
MIDGLEY, Brendan Kyle 1985 - 2006 Born in Vancouver, B.C. November 18, 1985, Brendan died tragically in a fall on a rain shrouded Burnaby mountain at Simon Fraser University on January 13, 2006. Brendan and his friend Joey Stryjak were jogging down a mountain trail in a heavy rain storm to meet with friends at the bottom. In the storm they lost the trail and unaware of the dangerous cliffs on that side of the mountain, continued their descent. In the dark they fell to their deaths over unfenced cliffs. Brendan's enthusiasm for life was unparalleled. He was 'une étoile filante,' a shooting star. Brendan burned bright for twenty years. He brought joy to all who met him and is loved by many. His immediate family Rod, Sharon, Ryan, Keenan, and Caitlin along with his grandparents Donn and Shirley Wolf, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends will continue to be inspired by Brendan's enthusiasm for life for years to come. A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held on Saturday, January 28th at 11:00 a.m. at the Willingdon Church, 4812 Willingdon Avenue, Burnaby. In lieu of flowers, a contribution can be made to the Brendan Midgley and Joseph Stryjak Celebration of Life Bursary Fund. The cheque should be made payable to Simon Fraser University and note that it is for the Celebration of Life Fund. Mail cheque to:
