A. MARK MCBURNEY Obituary

March 31- 1935 - June 15, 2024

Mark McBurney passed away peacefully surrounded by love.

Mark lived a long and happy life. He enjoyed the simple and the finer things all at once - a good curbside find and a quality scotch.
His family, his Airedales, architecture, sailing, the symphony, and his afternoon coffee (with a butter tart) brought him great joy.

Mark now joins the greatest love of his life, his wife, Marion McBurney (1938 - 2011). He is predeceased by his father Harold McBurney; mother, Agnes Greer; and brother, Lee McBurney.

Mark will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his fiercely loyal sons Bryan and Corey McBurney, his adoring daughter-in-law Lindsay Oughtred, and his beloved grandchildren Rae, Nico, Shamus, Winn, and Bourne McBurney.

We met Mark when we moved to Rosedale and instantly became good friends. Even when he struggled to walk he came to our home everyday to visit, especially with our lab Charlie.
We loved him and miss him dearly.
Sincerely, Marion and Stephen .

Mark's clear love of architecture and his calm manner were welcome in the stressful atmosphere of architecture school. He was a mentor to me even after I graduated, and we stayed in touch. Whenever I was in Rosedale I'd see him walking his beloved Airedale and we'd have a friendly chat. My sincere condolences to Mark's family on their loss.
