ADAIR JOHN BANERD Adair John Banerd passed away peacefully on May 13, 2023, in Kelowna, BC. He was born in Kipling, Saskatchewan, on May 3, 1934. Adair is survived by wife, Anne-Marie De Vos; and their son, Nicholas; sisters, Blanche and Dolores; children, Bradley (June), Karin (Joseph), Laurent (Wendy), Tianne (Robert); and their mother, Kay Marshall; grandchildren, Claire, Shawn, Craig, Ryan, Mae, Mika, Walker, Heather, Elizabeth, and Katherine; and great-grandchildren, Georgia, Calvin, and Francesca. Adair was predeceased by his twin sister, Audrey. Adair, a UBC graduate (International Studies and Economics-1956), started his career with the Canadian Foreign Immigration Service serving in Germany and England. He continued a successful career with the Public Service of Canada in Ottawa from 1965 until retiring to Kelowna in 1998. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Springfield Funeral Home in Kelowna with a luncheon to follow. The Service will be live-streamed and recorded.
