Adela Sheila BIRENBAUM

It is with deep sadness that we announce that Adela Sheila Birenbaum passed away on December 5, 2024, in her 92nd year. Sheila was elegant, graceful and creative. A woman of many talents, she was known for her intricate beadwork and beautiful quilts, taking up and excelling at watercolour painting in her later years. Of all her creations, Sheila was most proud of her family: she nurtured a loving marriage of 72 years, raised three children, was a doting bubby to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and cultivated deep, long-standing friendships. Sheila is loved and missed by her husband of 72 years, Abraham, by her children; Shelley, Michael (Ruth) and Brian (Rhona); and by her grandchildren, Aaron (Yaffa), Noah (Harriet), Jonah (Olive), and Sarah (Vlad); her great-grandchildren, Miriam, Shayna, Moishe, Batsheva and Lyra, and her many friends. The funeral will be held on Sunday, December 8, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. at Benjamin's Park Memorial Chapel (2401 Steeles Avenue West, Toronto).
