AINSLIE ST. CLAIR SHUVE Ainslie was born November 18, 1922 in Saint John, NB. He passed away peacefully at the age of 95 on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto following a brief illness. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Anne Isobel (née Washburn). He is survived by his daughter, Sandra Messner (Hans); son, John (Pamela Wagner); grandchildren, Anne Messner (Sean Le Drew), Kristy Messner, Andrew Messner, Erica Wasserman (Mark), Karl Shuve (Melissa Phillips), and Brian Shuve-Wilson (David); and eight great-grandchildren. He will be remembered by his brother, Edward Shuve, the only remaining sibling from his family of ten. Thanks to his many caregivers over the past decade, especially Tenzin Palkey. Ainslie enjoyed a long career in finance, acting as President and CEO of Crown Trust Company for many years. During WWII, he served in the Canadian forces, both at home and overseas. As was his wish, there will be no service in Toronto. At a later time, a celebration of life will be held in Saint John, NB.
