I am so sad to learn of Alan´s passing. I was his patient in the mid 80´s. Debbie Marks worked for me at the time and mentioned Alan´s practice that I believe was shared with Debbie´s father. Alan helped me quit a lifelong nasty tobacco addiction with only one hypnosis treatment. I had smoked cigarettes since I was 10 years old and was a chain smoker unable to kick the habit of multiple packs per day. I have thought of him countless times since and have told my story to countless people in many countries. I have supplied his office phone number to other people who were looking for help. Alan changed my life and I will always be grateful for his gift to me that certainly saved my life.

Dear Jeannine and family,
Jon's eulogy really said it all but I will add some personal memories. I met ADB in 1st meds in the anatomy lab in 1964 and we have been friends since then. We shared an apartment and lots of memories in 4th meds as externs at the Wellesley Hospital and met often after that. I especially remember the golf trips and the Make A Wish tournaments. We often met for dinner with the guys or even better as couples with Helen and Jeannine.
Alan had many interests and was always a pleasure to be with. Most importantly, he was a mensch.
With our love and condolences,
Ed and Helen

We will be forever grateful for Dr. Banack´s help in arranging for back surgery for Martha´s father John Keeling. The surgery gave new life to John after other doctors had said he "just had to live with pain". Our condolences to Jon and family. Martha and Leo

Dr. Banack cured me and several of my friends of smoking. I'm forever grateful.
