Alan Robert Crabtree died on November 8, 2007 in his 74th year, following a courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife Eleanor (née Knott) of Meaford, daughter Christi Fox of Ottawa, and son Christopher of Vancouver. Predeceased by a sister, Charlotte Crabtree Cost, in 2003. Friends will be received at the Ferguson Funeral Home, 48 Boucher St. E., in Meaford, on Sunday, November 11, from 2 until 4 o'clock. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday, November 12 at 11 a.m. with interment to follow at Lakeview Cemetery, Meaford.
