Peacefully at True Davidson Acres Nursing Home, Toronto on Sunday, July 30, 2000. Albert (Ab), in his 92nd year. Dearly loved husband of Phyllis and the late Dorothy Sowerby Box. Loving father of Linda and her husband Don Moor, Don Box and his wife Brenda, Don Malpass and his wife Viola, Gary Malpass and his wife Judy and Marilyn Malpass and her husband Dave Horobin. Beloved grandfather of Mike and his wife Tara, Jamie and Braden, Johnna Lee and Chris. Ab was a distinguished member of the Canadian Sports Hall of Fame, the Canadian Football Hall of Fame, and the ;Sports Hall of Fame Balmy Beach Club. Friends will be received at Calvary Baptist Church, 72 Main St. (at Benlamond), Toronto on Thursday, August 3, 2000 from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. A Memorial Service to celebrate Ab's life will be held at 3 o'clock followed by a reception. Cremation has taken place. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer Society, Calvary Baptist Church or a charity of one's choice.
