Dear Boris, Ardyth, and family
My condolences to your father's passing. I remembered how concerned Mr. Alexander Brott was, about a young grandchild wanting to become a veternarian, and Boris had to convince his father for an hour that a vet actually makes good money and a well established career. Several of the VSO members who were former members of the McGill Chamber orchestra have spoken highly of Mr. Alexander Brott, and it is of regret that i did not have a chance to meet him. My condolences to the family. Blessings.

My deepest condolences to you, Boris and Denis, and your families. Your father taught me violin at McGill and kindled in me a life-long love of music. I well remember lessons at your home, both of you as youngsters, and the kindness of your wonderful mother. My memories of your father will stay with me always.

This is a very sad event. Canadian music has lost a shining star. Alec became like an uncle to me during the writing of his memoirs, and I mourn with his family.
