November 29, 1937 - April 15, 2015
Beloved husband for 51 years of
Anne (Proctor), father of Sandy
(Caroline, Emelia, Alex), Martha
(Bruce Grant), John (Emily), and
Mike (Tanya & Jasper).
Born in Thunder Bay, Ontario;
Graduated U of Toronto Medical
School 1962, Pediatrics Sick
Children's 1963-64, CUSO
Nigeria 1964-66, Residency in
Obstetrics & Gynaecology
Toronto FRCS (C) 1970.
He moved the family to
Vancouver in 1970 where he
practised O&G for 25 years at
Lions Gate Hospital, retiring in
1995.
He bore his long illness bravely,
never lost his curiosity, his
compassion or his wanderlust
The family is grateful for the
expert care of his doctors, and
for the Home and Palliative
nursing teams who enabled him
to stay at home.
A celebration of his life will be
held at Hollyburn Country Club,
950 Cross Creek Rd., West
Vancouver, on Saturday, May 9,
2015, at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers,
please make a donation to the
charity of your choice.
