Alexandra GAZZARD Obituary

ALEXANDRA NICOLE GAZZARD 'Alix/Ali' Passed away with peace and grace on the morning of December 6, 2021 at the young age of 48, after a short battle with brain cancer. Always ready to have a good time, her easy laugh stayed with her until the end. She will be remembered by various communities of people with whom she made her mark; summer camp, theatre and her co-workers at Johnston Equipment. She was a loyal and lifelong friend to many. But more than anything, Alix was a fiercely proud and loving mother to her two sons, Jordan and Aaron Wolters. She will also be forever missed by her mother Donna Van Alstine, brother Steve Gazzard (Amy Lipsett), niece Hanna Gazzard, Uncle Doug Van Alstine (Lisa Stromquist), Aunt Cathie Van Alstine (Michael Woods) and all the cousins. Her laugh and vitality will be missed at family cottage reunions where she spent every summer of her life. She is also in the hearts of her Bermuda Gazzard Family. Alix is predeceased by Grandparents Doug and Alice Van Alstine and John and Dorothy Gazzard. Her fiery spirit and open heart will be greatly missed by all. A private Celebration of Life service is scheduled for 1 p.m. on December 9, 2021. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Gord Downie Fund for Brain Cancer Research at Sunnybrook Hospital (https:/ /donate.sunnybrook.ca/ tribute) on her behalf.

Dear Donna and family. I hope you will recognize my name after so many years. I am so terribly sorry to hear of Alix´s passing. A friend of mine, who went to MT A with you, sent me the obituary. Just heard of Alix´s death. My most sincere condolences to her family. She was a lovely mom to Jordan and Aaron. I remember her from the boys´ elementary school days and soccer. She had a wonderful laugh and absolutely gorgeous hair! Sending heartfelt prayers to her family. Jennifer xx

My Sympathies to Alix´s family especially to Jordan & Aaron. There isn´t one memory that stands out but all the memories that stand out. When Pierre passed away Alix and I would make it a point to see each other for our birthdays. Our last conversation was Nov. 5th. You became family and I will miss you my friend.

I was so, so sorry to learn of Alix´s passing. Though I haven´t seen her since we were girls, I still remember performing with her and Emma Peters at the Mount Royal United Church talent show! She was a lovely girl, so full of fun. I´ll be sure to make a donation in her honor, and I´m thinking of all of you with a full heart.
