Edgar Reed Jr. Obituary
Life Story Edgar "Pig" Reed Jr., passed away on January 23, 2023, affectionately known to many as "Pig" He was born July 14, 1948, to the union of Edgar Reed Sr. and Murl Reed in Houston, Texas. Edgar was baptized at Beebe Tabernacle CME Church.
Edgar attended public school in the Houston Independent School district and graduated from Evan E. Worthing High School Class of 1967. At age 18, he began employment for the Port of Houston where he remained for 30 years until retiring at the age of 48.
Edgar was a member at Windsor Village United Methodist Church under the leadership of Pastor Kirbyjon Caldwell and remained a member until his passing.
Edgar was a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He was known to host family gatherings and countless domino's games on the legendary "Table Rock" as he called it. He was one of a kind with his stern personality, and often outspoken demeanor that will be greatly missed by many.
