NEEDLER, Dr. Alfred
The death of Dr. Alfred Walker Holinshead Needler, O.B.E., C.M., PhD., D.S.C., F.R.S.C., occurred at the Passamaquoddy Lodge Nursing Home, St. Andrews, New Brunswick on Friday, September 4, 1998. Born in Huntsville, Ontario in 1906, he was the son of the late George and Mary (Chisholm) Needler. Predeceased by his first wife, the former Alfreda Berkeley, his parents and one sister Winifred. He is survived by his wife, Nina (Parker) Needler; three sons, David of St. Andrews, Duncan of Vermont and George of Dartmouth; three daughters, Joan Baker of Toronto, Edith Hesson of Edmonton and Mary Arai of Nanaimo; one sister Mary Hinde of Saskatchewan; nineteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren. The Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, September 20th from the United Baptist Church, St. Andrews. Interment will take place in the St. Andrews Rural Cemetery. For those who wish, donations to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated. MacDonald Funeral Home, (506-466-3110) 20 Marks Street, St. Stephen in charge of arrangements.
