KANE, Alice Elizabeth, B.A., B.L.S., D.Litt.
Children's librarian, author, artist of the wondertale. Born April 18, 1908, Belfast, Ireland; died in Toronto on May 30, 2003. Sister of the late Hugh Kane (Lorna McCracken). Aunt of Sean Kane (Kelly Liberty) and the late Maire Elizabeth Kane. Grand-aunt of Owen Kane. A celebration of her life and art, organized by Calvin Presbyterian Church with the Toronto Storytellers School, will be held on Friday, June 27 at 7 p.m. Further information will be available at www.storytellingtoronto.org In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to one of Miss Kane's delights: The Bruce Trail Association, Box 857, Hamilton L8N 3N9; Calvin Presbyterian Church, 26 Delisle Ave., Toronto M4V 1S5; the Osborne Collection of Early Children's Books, 239 College St., Toronto M5T 1R5; The Storytellers School of Toronto, 43 Queen's Park Cres.
