ALISON DURKIN Obituary

(1968 - 2025) Beloved daughter of the late Maybelle and John Durkin, and sister to the late Colin, Alison passed at dawn on June 23, 2025, in St. Michael's Hospital, Toronto, from multiple sclerosis. She leaves behind her brother, Graeme; sister, Anne (Luc Lachapelle); nieces, Elizabeth, Emma (Benjamin Gervais) and Alexandra Carbonneau (Justin Grenier) with their children, Amelia, Eloise, Claire and Anna. Extended family in Western Canada, the US, Switzerland, and Scotland share in her loss. During the past four years, Alison benefited from exceptional and sensitive care in UHN hospitals, in Toronto. Her friends, particularly Christine Link, provided unwavering support throughout. A Celebration of Life will take place on September 20, 2025, from 12:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Capital Funeral Home & Cemetery in Ottawa (www.arbormemorial.ca/en/capital.html). Instead of flowers, donations in Alison's memory to University of Toronto, Trinity College Mental Health & Wellness Program at livingtrinity.ca would be appreciated.
